What projects should we discuss / work on at HackForEgypt?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can vote and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can vote on it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  1. SeeClickFix plus Ushahidi mashup for anything that's not working or could be improved

For anything that could be improved. Different layers for e.g. corruption, bad policy, dumb laws, etc., but also really basic community improvements like trash that needs picking up, curbs that need painting, pot-holes that need filling, etc. Crucially, the fixing should also be crowd-sourced, and crowd-funded, so Egypt supporters all around the world can both invest in Egypt's future and contribute to local employment.

    • The Spirit of Tahrir

The idea of this site/app is to build transnational solidarity for the movement in Egypt, and democracy movements elsewhere, so that activists can learn from each other's victories and mistakes in real time. Example page: http://www.topia.net/tahrir.html
